Custom Block View Tutorial

Permalink 9 users found helpful
Attached is a white paper on creating custom block views.

I am finding many C5 users do not understand this concept and even hesitate to modify purchased addons.

I hope this is helpful.

Please PM me if you have any additions or corrections and I will keep this up to date.

Thanks

Chad

Which add-on are you referring to? This original post was not about a specific add-on but how to create custom template for other add-ons.

I suggest you search the Marketplace for the add-on you purchased and post your issue in the Support area.

Hi Chad - this is great and gets you well to the point of copying files to the right place. But it would have been great if you'd continued the walkthrough into actually changing the item as part of the story I've found is gaining control of the CSS as often things look different in the view.php file.

This makes some things clearer, especially for people who are not yet too familiar with Concrete5. Thank you, Chad!

Very useful and got me through my first custom block. Sometimes you can see most of the pieces and can't put it together, got it now. Thanks.
