Custom user templates for Layout

If I create different views for the content-block-type, I can easily surround the content-block with different styled divs - and I can switch that design without loosing my content.

Now I'm looking for the same functionality for a complete Layout: I want to insert a new layout and choose my own rendering-view. The complete layout with all its nested blocks could be surrounded then with my custom div-container.

Is there any way to do this?

This may be able to help, and at the very least is worth checking out.

You enter your text as you would in a typical content block, then have the ability to either choose an image from the file manager or insert a pullquote, finally you choose a layout (float left, column left, etc). The result is an beautiful layout that is easy enough for any user to add.

The best part is it's super simple to go back and include images or change layout options.

Worth a look

that's an interesting block - but it's not usefull for my scenario:
I want the editor-user to be able to transform a complete layout with multiple columns and a lot of content into a collapsible/expandable area.
We helped us with a workaround: We created a simple block that converts the last found before layout into an expandable div.
It works - but it would be better, if you could add a custom class to a layout-section (in the settings-dialogue, where the cols/rows can be entered)
