Is it possible to set a default value for a form field using the Form block?
No, this isn't currently a feature. I was thinking it would be cool to just add this functionality to the form preview panel, where you could just fill out the form however it was suppose to be at default...
yeah i think it would be a good inclusion somewhere down the track. I was thinking along the same lines as what you said.

Having the ability to set a default value for a form field (text/textarea) in particular would be a nice-to-have.

I would sure love this functionality.
Another nice one would be to be able to edit the email that c5 sends when a form is submitted, but I guess that would be a little complex and proly outside the scope of simplicity that c5 offers.

you can change that by going to /concrete/mail and copying the appropriate file to /mail and editing it
