Deleting Page Versions

Posted a similar post a few days ago, but unfortunately received no input.

In reading previous posts, it is my understanding that old page versions will slow down page loading. If this is not true, sure would like to be corrected on the matter.

I have accumulated hundreds of page versions for each page and would like to find a way to delete them other than through edit as this would probably take a month! It is impossible to delete a page with this excess baggage and certainly have a need for speed.

With all the posts regarding speeding up Concrete5, I would think it would be logical to limit the stored page versions to 10 or less. Why would anybody need more than 10? If I had my choice between having tons of stored versions and none, none would be great! For decisive experts, which I am not, stored page versions are probably not a problem. However, for a learning hack like me, who copies pages and is sometimes not satisfied with any edit, I would really like to get rid of stored page versions.

Sure would appreciate any input on this subject. Thanks, in Advance!
