Designers with multiple client C5 sites: How do you connect to community?

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hello all,

I've had no luck searching the forums, so here comes another question!

For those of you web designers & developers who have made multiple C5 sites for multiple clients, how do you handle connecting the site to the community? Do you use your C5 account, or do you create one for each client? Or does it change on a per-project basis?

I'm wondering especially as it pertains to commercial addons--what are the pros and cons of using your account vs a client account?

I'm pretty new to C5 and am loving it, but I can't figure this out.

thanks much,
erin.

Depending on the client and how much "back-end" involvement they want or are capable of:
You can help them join C5 and attach them to the project as a "contributor". After that point, you can even switch full ownership of the project over to a contributor (and remove yourself if necessary).
Also, I use this to collaborate with another member to share unassigned licenses we own for projects.

There's lots of flexibility, leaving you in charge of whats best in any given situation :)

Oh, I didn't know that about "contributer" status. Thanks for the info!
