Do I need too

Do I need to manually install Concrete5 5.7.0?
For the past two weeks I have not had a dashboard and can no longer edit our website. I added the new 5.7.0 file to my update folder but it is not recognizing it and states that I have the most current version at 5.6.3.1
I would appreciate any help. Thank you

5.7.0 is a new major version of Concrete5, an automatic upgrade will not be possible.

At that time, this version is actually very ready for production (IMO), but 5.7.0.1 should come very soon and will be.

The c5 will be working on migration howtos in a very short time, and we (addon developers) are actively working onto porting addons to this new version as well.

Stay tuned, this is gonna be some fun :)

thank you

can you tell me why I may be having trouble all of a sudden with editing. never had an issue until 2 weeks ago. I have made zero changes and I always edit through dashboard and never make changes on the backside? Could any of this be related to the new changes. I have contacted hostmonster and they stated there are no errors on my server side or my side that they have found and stated it must be a coding issue with Concrete

Thank you
