Ecommerce question

Hi everyone!

I just bought this addon, was wondering how to manage product variations such as colour/size etc. It's for a T-Shirt shop so the client would like to add inventory to different sizes and colours per product.

I'd imagine if this isn't possible that managing a lot of products stock levels could become quite tricky.

What's the solution for this, does this functionality exist in ecommerce for C5?

Hi nomaknz,
This is the default feature in e-commerce. You can add customer choices from the product edit page. You need to choose type. I think in your case it should be select box. And the next processes are as simple as water.

Hi City,

Thanks your your reply, I found the customer choices and chose to use dropdowns to select size etc but couldn't find anywhere to add a quantity of stock I have in those choices which I assigned to the product. An example: If I sell a product called "Red T Shirt" and in my inventory and I have 10 small, 9 large for this product I'd want stock subtracted only from the large t shirts or small t shirt depending on which variation of the product is bought.

I could only find one box for inventory in the products menu which seems like an overall stock level for that product rather than the stock level of a particular size / colour of the product, do you get what I mean?

I'm sure there must be a way to do this, product variation is pretty common with online shopping as it wouldn't make sense to have every product variation (colour / size) displayed as a separate product just so I can track inventory on them.

If you know how to set this up properly could you please explain because I've spent hours trying to work it out.

Thank you!

I've understood your requirement. Some open sources like Magento or Open cart supports this king of feature. There is no inbuilt feature in e-commerce for this kind of requirement. Though I'm not 100% sure about this. But you can try this by e-commerce "Attribute Settings" section to do this. It is under e-commerce settings section.

It sounds like this add-on should do the trick.
