Flash audio player with files protected from download

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I need a flash audio player for a website that will allow the visitor to listen to some music files but will prevent those files from being downloaded.

Flash audio players I've had a look at so far needed the mp3 files to be in a web accessible directory as well which means that an Internet user of average Flash skills would be able to find the directory eventually and download the mp3s.

a. Does anyone know of a flash player to fit my description?
b. Is there maybe an add-on for C5 that will already do exactly what I need?
c. Is there some way I can configure my web server to make any flash player work with files located inside a directory that can't be read by website visitors?

Thanks!

There's an add-on in the marketplace you might want to have a look at. It's called Audio Library and you can find it at the link below:

I think that generally speaking any flash player could be made to work the way you want it by moving the location of its music files outside the web folder. Some recoding in the flash file or an xml might be needed.

Could you or someone provide a more detailed explanation of how things need to be configured for the files to be protected from download?

Thank you!
