Gallery links not working - HELP - reward available!

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi All,

After a server backup, my gallery pictures are not working correctly. The thumbnails don't show and when you click on a thumbnail, its says 'The request content cannot be loaded. Please try again later'. I've cleared cache to no avail. I would appreciate help and happy to reward anyone that can fix this issue.

Do you mean, after a backup *and restore* ?

No, a server back up from the hosting company (names.co.uk)

First glance it seems you have 30 files that are unable to load on the page. Most of them are returning 403 error message so you may want to look at the permission you have set for your folders.
Check out the errors in Chrome or Firefox and they should point you in the right direction.

Here is a screen grab for you showing the errors.
Seems like lots of stuff is being blocked.

Its a permission problem.
Folders permission should be 755

Check your server "files" folder permission and change this permission to 755
I hope this helps

Its a permission problem. A 403 Forbidden error can be caused by incorrect ownership or permissions on your web content files and folders.

Permissions:

Rule of thumb for correct permissions:

Folders: 755
Static Content: 644

Check your server "files" folder permission.

ronyDdeveloper. Thanks very much. I've changed the folder permissions and it works. I have NO IDEA how the folder permissions changed in the first place!
