Grid Layout in Global Area

Likely a beginner question.

I am creating a site with several page layouts. I want a contact form which consists of two columns to show just above the footer on every page. Imagine the left column showing a map with the customer's location and the right column shows a regular contact form.

So I created the layouts and added the GlobalArea code to all the templates. So far so good.

But: how do I add the two-column layout for the Global Contact Area? GlobalAreas cannot have Layouts, so that doesn't work. In the Dashboard I tried adding a stack in hopes of adding the stack to the Area, but a stack cannot have columns either.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts (and likely patience for my n00b question ;-).

You need to code a page template with 2 global areas, Contact1, Contact2

Alright. Not the most elegant solution, but I get it. Will do. Thank you for your reply. :-)

Looking forward to the new containers in v9. Hope that will help with situations like these.
