Groups not allowed to be added to group combinations

Anyone run into the problem of C5 not allowing groups to be added to group combinations. We're trying to create group combinations and when we try to add certain groups the group just doesn't add. No errors or anything. The group simply doesn't show up in the group list for the group combination we're trying to create. Some groups add just fine and others won't add at all. Any info or assistance anyone can offer on this item is most appreciated. Thank you.
Okay, looks like we may have narrowed the issue down a bit. It seems any group added from the 1st page of group listings will add to the group combination list. When we try to add any group from any of the succeeding pages that group does not appear in the list. In the Add Group window we have 4 pages of group listings. Any group we select from the 1st page of groups is added to the group combination list. Any group we try to select from pages 2 thru 4 do not get added to the group combination list. Any info or assistance anyone can offer is most appreciated. Thanks.
Hmmm... I'm trying to reproduce this but have no problem adding groups to group sets as seen in attached image.

This item pertains to group combinations and not group sets. Nothing unique about the group names that we can identify. Not sure what other info may be needed. Still unable to add groups to group combinations. Any info or suggestions to help resolve this item is appreciated. Thanks.
