'Guest' access to page using a GET string variable

In one of my projects, I would like to allow a user to create a url with a key (something like mysite.com/user123/?key=12jKL01k2LDa) that they can send to friends to allow access to an otherwise locked-down page.
Is there something available in the c5 core or as an addon already that would allow for this? If not, any help or ideas would be appreciated.
