How do you put a widget on front page.

I am new to this and have a widget I want to put on the site. I have the code and am ready to go. What are the steps to get this done. Can it be done?

It is a snippet code from another site and says to cut and paste the code in the website HTML. How do I add a HTML block to my site?
Yep, just add a block to your page, choose the "HTML" block from the list of blocks, and paste the code into there.
If it's a snippet of code you got from some other site, you can probably add an "HTML" block to your page and paste it in there. If it's something else... we're going to need a bit more detail.
