how to show error messages in Edit profile page

hello,
I am using concrete5 8.5.2, I do not see any field error message if the form has a missing field, like invalid Recaptcha or confirm password does not match.
how I can display the field error message in the edit profile page.
should I need to edit in the code or concrete5 having by default feature?

Are you using the default theme or do you have a custom theme?
Thank you hutman for your replay,
actually we are using custom theme (slate), by default we do not see any message on edit profile, but the same theme implemented on the registration page, we see all field error in there.
