Image files didn't transfer with upgrade to 5.4.2.2

I just upgraded Concrete5 to version 5.4.2.2, and many of the images on my site can no longer be found. When I go into Edit mode and try to edit those blocks, the image files appear to be there. But they don't appear on the site!

The site ishttp://www.skoop.com.

The theme I'm using is Natural Concrete and its author has determined that the problem is with Concrete5, not the theme.

How can I recover my site?

So I looked at your site and I see images other than you logo. Have you looked in the file manager to see if the files are still showing there?

Yes, the image files all show in the File Manager, and when I go into Edit mode on the image block, they show there also. But I can't change them, and they don't appear on the site.

But as you can see, some images DO appear in the site.

Are you using the cache function in C5? If so have you tried to clear it?

Can you Add a new block under the current one that is having issues and add the images in there?

I am using the cache, and I did try clearing it.

I just tried adding another image block, and it failed.

So, it turns out that I also can't add any new images to my site after the upgrade to 5.4.2.2, in addition to many of the existing images being "not found".

My site is crippled after making this seeming simple and safe upgrade. Really makes me very hesitant to even think about upgrading to 5.5, or for using Concrete5 for any new sites.

Please....any ideas out there?

More info:

I use the File Manager to view a "missing" image file, and click on the Properties tab. All of the info is there, including the url to the file. I look on my server in that location, and the image file is there.

For instance, this file is "missing" from the site, but is actually on the server, and the Properties tab points to here: http://skoop.com/files/7213/0801/6114/carwash.png...

However, when I click the Rescan button, I get this: "File carwash.png could not be found."

Also, when I do the same thing for an image that IS seen on the site, and hit Rescan, it also says "File xxxxxx.png could not be found."
