Integrating PayPal using Forms and generating a unique ID

I have been using Foarms and PayPal for submitting payments, however I have not found a way to associate a unique ID with the transaction. This makes it difficult to associate PayPals invoices with the Forms report.
Does anyone have experience in this area - possibly with a solution?

How does the unique ID need to be given to paypal? My first guess would be adding it to the paypal URL with javascript before the user submits the form.
