this is nice, but you won't need that, because concrete5 has builtin support to block specific ip-ranges or ip-adresses from within the administration dashboard.

I don't want to get into details but there are many many sites that provide free lists of ip-adresses and -ranges that are blocked because they're identified as spammers/hijackers/hackers/etc..
