looking for add on solution fpr client wish list??????

my client operates a logistics/trucking company.

he has a dedicated group of customers he hauls for and a dedicated group of trucking/transport companies who do his hauling.

i am redoing a godaddy site for my client.

he would like to e able to have his drivers when required log into a form and leave messages that indicate to a shipper or receiver their current status. ie. gettng tire repaired s/b mobile again 1 hour.

if customer is looking for any staus update they can also log into this message center to get advisories 24/7
now there are industry software to do this and track the trucks etc, but it issuper expensive to rent/month and this client again is small and focused.

i was wondering if something like formidable or advanced forms be used.
do these have some level of log in???

or any other add on might work/??

OR am i really looking at custom work, etc.

I do not want to go to C5 V 5.7 I want to stick with V5.6xxx

any thoughts would be appreciated

thx

and then have any client

Hello,

Here's my suggestion.

Just allow public profiles in your settings which will make available a profile page for each registered person. That page will only be available for logged-in user and will only show the user's data.

Then use C5 private messaging functionality that's included.

Then make sure your users know to message the boss and not each other

Finally, make sure they all have checked the settings to receive an email when a private message is received.

Hi
ok i get the idea
i went into dashboard, but not able to find out about public profile

using foundation 5 theme
not certain where to start here
would appreciate some guidance.

ultimately i want that a customer can receive a message from a driver saying something like stuck in sow, late 10 hours or something like that.

was hoping to be able to send to cell phone etc. so customer did not need to access the new website

await your reply

hello
when you are logged in and you can see you concrete5 toolbar at the top of every page, the toolbar contains a little search box on the right with a little magnifier icon. That allows you to find system stuff. Type in it public or profiles for instance and it will show you a link to the settings page where you can set public profiles.
