I see there's a very useful feature right here in the forums where you can check a box on a particular page and get email alerts when new comments are posted.

Is that functionality built into Concrete5? I have an Advanced Comments block on a blog template. I would love for people who post comments to receive email alerts whenever someone else posts to the same conversation.

Yes and no, discussion board is not build into Concrete5. You can buy it in the marketplace though.

I liked this feature as well. However it appears I have enabled it on a thread with unexpected chatter :). now how do i see what threads i am monitoring/following and how can i disable it.

I am surprised this isn't built in it is fairly standard for comments to be monitored. Without it the guestbook comments is pretty useless.
