Moved site to the final server - do I need to reassign the licenses?

Hello,

After building my site on another domain, I moved it to the final server and domain.
Now, on my project page, I have the two domain names listed under the project name.
How do I proceed now?
I do not see any way to un-assign the purchased licenses from one domain to the other.

Thanks!

As long as you don't touch your Config-table (i.e. keep it the same) that site should get connected to the same project as your development project.

When you've moved your site it will tell you that your site is not connected but when you reconnect it, it should get attached to the same project.

Best,

Hi Antti,

thanks for your speedy response.
Not sure if I understand you right - what do you mean by config table?
The project page on concrete5.org? There it says both under Found Locations.
I did not see any message that my site is not connected; in the opposite - both sites seem connected.
How do I disconnect the old one?

Thanks!

Yes, you understood everything right.

You don't need to disconnect the old site, it's perfectly fine you have development version and production versions connected at the same time. This also makes further development easier.

Ok, seems that one license = one project, even when there are several identical sites.
But - it seems there is no way of disconnecting other than deleting?

Thx

Yes, you cannot delete the addresses within that project but it doesn't matter if they are in there.

Will anyway delete the test project and see what happens...

Thx

Maybe you have an idea about this one...
I had an os-commerce on the domain where I moved the developed site to. Its control panel was only accessible via https.
Wanted to keep it accessible for a few days.
Now I cannot login there anymore, the link
https://mydomain.com/shop/catalog/admin/index.php... is being redirected to the domain where I built the site:
https://myotherdomain.com/shop/catalog/admin/index.php...
I scanned through all the files, found some instances where the old domain was coded into a file and changed them.
Still no luck.
Somewhere must be a config file that redirects https to the domain where I built the site.

Any clue?

Thanks

I see that this is an issue with the https configuration within the database, I opened another thread at

Thanks!
