Moving the blog to the home page

I hope the answer to my question is reasonably simple but I'm brand new to concrete and having problems with it. Is there a way to move the blog that my site began with from being its own page to being part of the home page? I couldn't find the blog block, so to speak. Thanks!

It mainly uses the page list block with a custom template.

Some clarification on how to do this:

* Go to the blog page that came installed with the site and click "Edit Page" in the toolbar.

* Click on the blog listing block, choose "Copy to Scrapbook", make sure "admin's Personal Scrapbook" is selected in the dropdown menu", then click the "Add Block to Scrapbook" button.

* Click "Exit Edit Mode". If it asks you to save changes, just click "Discard Edits".

* Navigate to your home page, click "Edit Page".

* Click on "Add to Main", choose "Paste from Scrapbook"

* You should see the blog listing in there (kind of -- it may look weird, but it should say "Page List" at the top). Click on the name of that (e.g. "Page List").

* Click on the block that was just pasted and choose "Custom Template" from the popup menu. Make sure "Blog Listing" is chosen, then click the "Update" button.

That should do the trick!

Do you already have a blog on your site? The original question was about moving a blog that already exists. If you don't have one, you need to follow these instructions:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/manually-set...
...OR if you haven't started building out anything important or entered too much content yet, it might be easier to just reinstall the site and check the "Install Sample Content" box.

If you already have the blog on your site, just follow my instructions -- go to the page that lists all the blog posts (it should just be called "Blog" in your navigation menu), click "Edit Page", click on that block that's showing the blog posts, etc. etc.

Hope that helps.

can you please update these instructions to reflect the c5 version 5.6.2.x
I am trying the same thing (moving the blog page from the second page to the home page) and there is no "admin's personal scrapbook" just a clipboard and if I paste from clipboard I can choose the "Page List" but that would just add a thin empty rectangle above "add to main".
hmm ..

Scrapbook has been replaced by Stacks.
See
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/concrete5...

So if you wanted you could paste from the clipboard to a new or existing Stack, or perhaps just to the home page.
