New Dashboard - I hate it!

Is there any way the core team would consider allowing us to use the old dashboard? The new one is more difficult to navigate and frustrating! I can't see the "whole picture" in the new Dashboard and if I pick the wrong option, its more difficult to find what I really want to do.

My team has been using Concrete 5 for development since last summer. We're still learning. If I am frustrated even though I use it a lot, how much more so my customers?

Am I alone in this thought?

I was unsure at first.. but after using it for one week, I find it easier and quicker to find things and there's many options to help the workflow.. It's pretty great.. regardless.. soon to be released -http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/traditional-dashboard/...

It's change. that's always frustrating at first.

I like the direction myself. There are things that take some major getting used to. especially for those that have been at it for a while.

I think as time moves forward, you will see addons and packages released that make navigation more sensible than it is out of the box at present.

I will say this though, if you have not worked with the new interface while using an iPad, you should! The CMS takes on amazing clarity in that use case.

To me, this a good news. because I do believe tablet computing and content management will continue to move forward and grow. And with this new UI mentality, C5 is now LIGHTYEARS ahead of any major player CMS in the market today. period.

I was amazed when I worked from my iPad. The UI was pretty in a normal web browser, but SOOoooo different, and sometimes really hard to navigate. But for some reason, things "magically" make sense in the context of an iPad. it's REALLY bazar. lol

But I do think navigation will improve and continue progress. this was a decent first stab at things. And I totally trust the core team / frz will take all the feedback and make it even better.

Just got an ipad myself and didn't think of how it might make things for that. Thanks for your input! ;-)
