News section

I'm looking for a news builder that uses just one page to display the article. A list of the headlines and then a detail page. 2 pages or a list block that points at the same page for each story.

Client adds a news story somewhere and it just gets added to the list.

I don't want to keep loading new pages for each story.

Is this possible?

It's "possible". but not necessary? it doesn't exist at this time, and with good reason...it's just not needed.

For example, ProNews provides your client with an easy to manage, simple to understand interface where they can simply go add news, and all news items go under a pre-determined news "section" in the site. hard to get any easier than that!

And then on the front end, a news list block displays all the news items.

In theory, you could add a single page to pronews to pull news content by the page ID. would not be hard at all actually...but you would still have those pages in the sitemap under the "news" section....so, what would be the point?

I just don't see this a value to your client. It's a news item....give it a page.

Thanks Chad, Thing is I don't know whether your system will be suitable untill I show the client.

Just installed the Easy News plugin, but couldn't get it to work. So I uninstalled it. Tried to go back to it but it won'y work on the second install. The add page is missing?

Anyway I tempted just to write a simple standalone input app and feed it into C5.
