Hello - i need some help with a problem.

I want my site to have a menu button called "name" were i will use designer content to add "posts". After posting x amount of "posts" on a page, i want the site to go to new page, so it wont be so hard to load the page. However i want my latest posts to saty on page 1 and the old posts to stack up behind on new pages once i post new stuff...

Is this possible in any "easy" way? I know it sounds a lot like a "blog" and you are right, but i cant use a normal blog since the "posts" i will make using designer content will be custom made through 7 different templates, so every post will almost never be the same, therefore i cant use a normal blog.

Hope someone can help me out.

Thanks

Hi,

Did you know you can also have "custom templates" in any of the blocks out there, so you might also be able to customize a blog template for your 7 different cases.

However, because you're looking a quick solution to your problem I'd suggest that you just add a new page for the blog you currently have and set that as page 1. Then, just keep adding new posts to that page and add a link "older posts" to your old blog page. This might not be optimal in any case (e.g. SEO) but would solve your problem in a "quick way".

Other possibility that come to my mind is just paginating the Area of the page you're adding your blog posts. Search for "Pagination" or "Paging" from the marketplace and you will find multiple add-ons for your need. E.g. these might come handy to you:

Pagination

Rapid Ajax Paging

EDIT: Now that I look this add-on, it might not be what you're looking for. Just see it for yourself.

AFAIK, I've learnt that "quick fix" will find you later in life at some point. So, I'd really suggest in your case moving to a more traditional way of blog posting so that you could also mange the posts in the future. Also, pagination would work better if you used a more common blog solution. I'd suggest setting up few composer templates and posting new posts through composer.
