Online training/quiz with scoring

Hiya,
I'm about to start a large site. Haven't even built any templates yet, just getting the design finalised at the moment but I'd like to find out about this before I go off on a tangent and waste time.

I'll be using the latest version of C5 along with bootstrap to build custom templates for my theme. There is an online training element to the site - mainly multiple choice questions but these will only be available to users who have registered and logged in.
Once logged in they will be able to see extra content on the page and mixed in with the content will be these quiz questions.

So far so good - I wasn't phased by any of that but the client has just asked if I can add the user's progress and scoring so that both he and the user can have access to it. So if someone logs in one day and does a few questions, then comes back a few days later his current score is retained and they can carry on with the questions and their score is updated.

He has suggested something like Typeform
http://www.typeform.com/
...which looks perfect (although it only supports the last 2 versions of popular browsers) and you use embed code to place it onto your site.

I can see that there used to be some quiz addons for C5 but they are currently unavailable and wondered if anyone has any advice?

I don't want to re-invent the wheel here - if there is something already available that I can plug in I'd rather do that but does anyone have any experience of typeform or similar? Or is there something in the Addons that could be repurposed for this?

I used to use C5 years ago but it's changed a bit since then and this is my first one for a few years!

Many thanks in advance
Allison

Could you be searching the legacy marketplace by mistake? A search for "quiz" in the 5.7+ marketplace shows 3 results.

Thanks for the quick reply - I was looking in the v7+ marketplace - gives 2 results.
The Quizmaker Pro looks suitable but sales are suspended on that, and the other one doesn't look as if there's any scoring available so I think it's too basic for what I might need.

Apologies, I missed that it was suspended (as a PRB admin, I get to see stuff like that without the permission filters you would see it with. Now I look with a not-logged-in browser, I see the 'suspended' message).

I doubt if you can do what you need in Express without writing code. Perhaps one of the forms addons could help, such as Formify.

I am currently in the process ob building/rebuilding a quiz package that does all that. But it will take a while until it is functional and maybe some time longer until I could show it to anybody :-)
So if you have some patience, I could help you out.

But since this is a sideproject of mine, I cannot really promise a timeframe.

Hi Cahueya
This is a commercial project I'm afraid, so I would need a definite timeframe - something within the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for your reply though!
Please let me know when you get it finished incase I need something like that in the future

There was an online training quiz for c5 certification used on this site. I suspect c5.6. You could approach Franz about using that. You would then need to port it to v8.

Thanks JohntheFish
But I suspect porting it to v8 would be a bit beyond my current skills.
