Pagination in blog

Hi guys,

I'm starting to dig deeper in C5 world, and have been playing with the latest version for the last month(C5.5).

I do my learning locally on WAMP, but also have XAMMP installed.
I see that C5 now comes with simple blog by default, but it is missing pagination.

Then i rememberd that i had previously installed C5.4.2.1 on XAMPP, and when running it i see it also has a blog, but it is a much nicer one, with built in pagination.

How do i enable pagination in C5.5 blog? Please any pointers or links on where to find any ingo on this.

Thanks

Mirko

1. Go to the main blog page
2. Click on the 'Page List' block to put it into 'Edit' mode
3. Select the option 'Display pagination interface if more items are available than are displayed.'
4. Save

I'm not really sure what to do. Do i need to add 'Page List' block?
If so to which part of the blog do i add it?

Thanks

Did you include the sample content when installing concrete5?

If the answer is yes, then the 'Page List' block will have been included on the main 'Blog' page.

If the answer is no, you can set up the blog manually by following this 'How-To'- http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/manually-set...

I think pagination only shows once you have added more blog articles than you have set to show on the page-list. So if it's set to show only 5 articles, then the 6th one will enable the pagination option.

If you don't like the way the 'page list' is displayed, you can change it by clicking on the 'page list' block and selecting 'Custom Template' and choosing another option.

Thanks for the help. Yes, the sample content is already there, but silly me expected pagination after 3 posts.
I already saw that tutorial you posted, and i think i will go that route, i will learn the best by doing.
