Personalized Hello Addon

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue as this addon has absolutely no support or documentation. I can't quite figure out how to get it to work. The block has two boxes for each social network, one for the message and one for the like this link text and says "Replace where you want the link to like this page to be with .link" WTF does that mean. I have read this line twenty times and don't understand it. Has anyone used this and had any luck with it?
So first,
let's say you want the block to appear with the stumbleupon icon and a text with a link.
Say your text is "Hi guys please refer me to stumbleupon.com" and the link is the part that says "refer me to stumbleupon.com"
So when you setup the addon, in the textbox that says "Stumbleupon message" (the one with the weird instructions) you will type "Hi guys please .link."
than in the box that says "Stumbleupon Like This Link Text" you type "refer me to stumbleupon.com"
Later the block with replace the ".link." in the first text with what's in the second one.
Yeah I know it's weird.
Anyway, what this block does is that if someone comes to your website from one of the other websites, say stumbleupon.com, it will show the appropriate icon and link to "like this page" on stumbleupon.

what's more the code has mistakes that make the css not work properly as well as the icons alt text
