Scrapbook Slideshow styles not appearing

I set up a slideshow block in the Global Scrapbook and hard-coded that block into my custom theme. On the home page, the Concrete styles for the slideshow block showed up like normal, and I was happy.
On the supplemental pages, the Concrete styles for the slideshow block did not apparently load, and so the slideshow images started stacking on top of one another. I remedied this by copying the styles from /concrete/blocks/slideshow/view.css and pasted them into my theme's stylesheet, to ensure the rules would always show up. this "fixed" the visual problem, so now I'm pleased.
Any reason why the view.css for the slideshow would load on the home page but NOT on the sup pages? I'm using the same page type on the home page as some of the sup pages, so I don't think page types are the reason.
