Search Block 'Tag Cloud' Template

Is this still a thing? I can't get it to do anything. Could it be a vestige from pre-topic days?
Why I'm asking: I've written a search block that handles (some) advanced search queries, and I don't know if I need to include a 'tag cloud' template.
