Slideshow Pics Show in Edit More, but not Otherwise

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi,

I just figured out how to change the pics in the slideshow. So exciting!

They look really good in the edit mode. Even clicked edit to crop the pics, which launched picnik. Nice surprise.

My main issue is that they do not display at all when I checked the page in another browser, like IE or Firefox (as I was editing in Chrome), just to act as if I was not logged in to the site. Also did happen in Chrome when I logged out.

Minor thing was when they run, the delay seems erratic - not 5 seconds for each pic. This was when I was logged in and editing. More like 5 sec, then 2 sec, then 2 sec.

So, where are those pics I just added? Site ishttp://www.mytrucklube.com

Have you tried clearing the cache?

yep.

are you seeing the slideshow pics on the top part of the page?

Nope. Nothing on the homepage and on the 'about page' I see an 'Image not found' message.

Try editing the block. Delete each image from the slideshow and add them again.

If that doesn't work for you; send me some login details and I can try to have a quick look for you. If you don't feel comfortable sending me your login details; you can create a new user and delete that user account afterwards.

weird. I see it again when i log in. I'll try removing them and re-adding. If I get stuck, I'll create a user for you and let you take a look.

Thank you

You rock. Thanks, now I even know what a block is.

Now on to a new question...

Hi Wagdi,

I have kinda same issue as described in your discussion with Pranaman i.e. I have the message "Image Not Found" on all my pages. See my sitehttp://www.paddlefit.ch

FYI, I am using the template Greek Yogurt and, when I am in Editing mode, I don't see the error message.

Could you kindly let me know how you solved the issue? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Enzo,

I saw your thread but I think the problem is different. I simply deleted the slideshow block and re-added it.

Hi Wagdi,

I solved the issue thanks to Joandanlev.

Here is how: I had to approve in the stack of the dashboard a version of the header.

Cheers.
