Stacks not updating

This thing is driving me up the wall !!
Can anyone explain what is the point being able to choose to insert a specific block from a stack if this one does not update when you modify it ??

Is there a documentation about how to use this new feature ???

I originally thought I could use a stack and use it for instance for a multilingual content, so I would create a stack, then create 3 blocks within this stack, each block containing the same text in a different language. Then I would create a page and insert the appropriate block depending on the page language. Then I would have thought that if I modified the block content from the stack, it would update all the blocks , but it does not seem to happen !!! So what is the point ? Is this a bug ?? Or is there something I am not getting ??

EDIT: I misspoke and I just duplicated your issue on my test site. Are the areas you are posting the stack blocks to "Global Areas" on the page type you're using? I don't believe edits are carried throughout the site if not in Global block areas.

(previous uninformed reply) I'm a little confused at what you are expecting Stacks to achieve (essentially a "group" of predetermined blocks that are inserted at the same time). If you were to insert a group of multi lingual blocks from the same stack, they would all show up at the same time wouldn't they?
Documentation has an explanation here http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/using-concrete5/in-page-edit...

So far as not reflecting changes when you edit them, could it be the cache is not being cleared so the changes display?

I just tried testing it with Global and it will not work in a manner that will achieve what you are looking for. All instances showed the edits accurately but at the cost of not being only able to show identical blocks on each page (defeating separate language displayed). Although I haven't tested this, you may be able to work the limitation if you create a set of new page type for each language so that each language had it's own separate global areas.

I had in mind that stacks are chunks of content that are common to several pages and a good way of making sitewide changes (a bit like php include which allows to include one file somwhere and then update one file file only). What i don't understand, is what is the use of being able to place various blocks within one stack ... can't see the usefulness so far ...
