Brilliant theme that's added for me (limited web skills) more choices and a sharper look & feel to the site (www.3inone.co.uk under construction) - I really like the dynamic word-wrap with window resize and lots of new areas for content.
Question... In customize I can't change Link & Hover colour & guessing I might need to learn css. Any thoughts would be welcome. (apologies - I sent synlag an email & believe this forum is the correct way)

Hi,

thank you.

Found the bug.. and will fix it soon.

Here is what you can change in typography.css to make it work so far:

remove line 113 and 114; multiple anchor definition ..
After that normal links within the page are customizable.

change the anchor colors for #topnav and #footer below line 114.
I'll make them customizeable next version.

Have fun ;)

Hi Synlag: For the columns in Column Cruiser theme I accidentally played with colors and now want to get them back to transparent default without resetting the whole theme. How can I do this?

Thanks

there is no way to achive this like described.
i have started an advanced customizer package, that even should work with basic html5 tags and css3, and let you save presets, like for layouts and designs, but no time atm to finish it.

i'd suggest to write down the colors you want to keep and reset, also take a look athttp://www.colorschemedesigner.com... ;-)

As I have been filling out my new site with sub pages my drop down menu goes under the lower layers (teaser and main) and except for top item, the other items cannot be seen.

How can I resolve this must solve issue asap?

thanks

It just does not work right. I tried moving the navagation above the picturehttp://everythingvibrates.com and had to add a spacer of about 85px to get it not to cover the picture but my drop down list still got buried once it hit the purple and the bottom of the list got lost.

I tried moving it above my site title info so it would have more space and in this case the title did not show up even when I played with spacers.

I am about to get a Healing the Gulf of Mexico event organized with people communicating at this site and have to find a way to resolve. What do you recommend.

i've not checked it with super nav, sounds more like a support request at the super nav package support forum.
if you want me to fix it, do an offer.

Since it is of similar nature to the prior problem of items going under colors from theme I had I assumed it was a Column Cruiser issue. I apologize if this was an incorrect assumption.

Overall the theme has been pretty good.

Let me check with superfish to see if they already addressed this issue. If not, what would be fair?

i think concrete5s support plan is fair.

thanks, let me contemplate the whole situation and decide if this is the right path to go. I am checking with superfish as recommended.

I appreciate your offer to do the fix. After careful contemplation I went back to a decision I made last week.

I feel like a round peg trying to get into a square hole when it comes to my ideal site and what is available. I decided last week that rather then customize everything which I have not budget for, I will redesign my ideal site around what the system can already do. So while I really do not like this issue, I will find a way to live with it and hope in a future version this is resolved if it still matters to me. I actually think it may be a good thing because it will push me to rely less on drop down navigation and focus on a different approach to helping people find the information they are looking for.

thanks. I am looking forward to the advanced customizer package. Looking at the color link you gave me. Once I get everything working right I will reset and then do this to tweak it.

ok,

you can customize all editable areas ( header(3) & footer(3) floating left, main area(3), header nav and main nav are full width, login part fixed) and all links within now.

By default, all backgrounds are transparent, because this is what you can't choose with the colorpicker, but you can reset the theme style what i think isn't what you want to do after you picked a cool style. In this Context saving and loading style versions once you created them with the customizer, will be an option in upcoming c5 versions.
An Upgrading option for themes would be also an exciting feature ;)

Back to the theme:
There are 15 different background gradients.
The background color view can be differ in that way what background gradient you choose for the body, because some of them have opacity, some not.
You can switch them with the 'append your css' option through the customizer.

Before you use the new column cruiser v2, better remove the old one and the column cruiser page type. There are no changes in area names, so all should be appended in the right way.

I installed and activated the column cruiser theme. When I went to my website, all I see being displayed is a blank white page, not matter which page of my site that I hit. Am I missing something other than the upload of the theme, then install/activate via the dashboard?

Thanks

Hi,

i think you have to choose the page type 'column cruiser..' after you installed and activated it.

Tell me if it works.

Thank you so much for this template! I'm running into some issues, though.

On the homepage there is a space between the "teaser" div and the "main" div when rendered in a browser. All other pages render without this space which provides for a smoother visual experience.

What could be causing this peculiarity?

here's the site:

are you runnning the latest version from the marketplace?
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/themes/column_cruiser/...

if you're running v2, edit main.css, line 39, and remove the margin:
... margin: 10px 0;...

should remove the spacing.

Hi,

I'm using your theme but wondering about the links at the very top, on the black top border. There are three of them Login, Register and Imprint. Login is, yes, login to edit the site, but Register and Imprint leads nowhere ("Page not found"). Why are they there?
peterb0609 replied on at Permalink Reply
I have the same ?

Can they be removed?

Thanks

Peter
synlag replied on at Permalink Reply
synlag
sure.

if pretty urls are working, register should work and imprint if it's created as a site with this alias.

go to header.php, you can find those static links after the body tag :)

OK, thanks for the help.

I love this theme!! However I want to remove the links in the upper right and perhaps add them later. I don't have a Register, Login type site at this moment. I'm just beginning to build the site actually - can they be removed?

so what exactly does imprint do when it works correctly? I assume there is some importance since it was put right up n the top corner of the site design.

Hi I have just started using concrete5, been through the basics and set up a site. However I wanted more flexibility with the columns so I have installed column cruiser. For some reason I cant get the columns to re-size, all my content is squashed up in the main area, I really want to make it wider. I have tried changing to the full page type but it makes no difference. I read somewhere on this forum someone said they could easily drag the area to the size they needed but didn't say how. Is what I am trying to do something easily done inside the concrete5 framework or do I need to modify the theme somehow?
johnlewisdesign replied on at Permalink Reply
Hi same here, I noticed this has not yet been answered.

I only need columns in the blog style layout. I want an IFRAME for one of my pages. 50% width is not enough for an IFRAME, I need 100% width.

I also notice when using left and right column layouts the column remains, but un-editable.

Am I doing something wrong? What do I edit to hide columns? Can I use a PHP if statement?

Thanks!

Are you using IE?

I too have noticed this problem when working in Firefox, Rockmelt, and Safari...both on my Mac and on my PC. But if I open in IE, I can edit the columns with no problem. But then in the other browsers, the links and all in the columns do NOT work.

Does anyone with the Column Cruiser support group have a fix for this?

Thanks,

Any new version of this theme ? I find the yaml concrete5 integration lacking as lots of duplicate styles are loaded. Choosing a right-side sidebar also leaves the left sidebar. To cut things short improvements would be nice !

I've been looking at using this theme on my website http://sfbookworld.com as I think it would make it look so much more professional. I love the crisp design and having a look at the template indicates lots of configurability.
What I want to do is put in a single page that only has 1 column where I can put in an inline frame for a store. At the moment I can only put it in 1 column which makes it squished. Is this possible in Column Cruiser or am I just using the wrong template.
