Hi,
I'm a rank amateur at web sites and with using a Mac. I built a web site using a standard Mac template. After that I went to Hostmonster and opened my new domain. I selected and downloaded Concrete5 to see if I could build a site using that plateform. I have watch quite a few of the videos but I'm still struggling. Is it possible to import what I built on the Mac so I do not have to start all over?

There is no direct import. You could copy and paste content though

You can, with some work, get it all up and running with concrete5.

First of all you need to install concrete5, which I assume you already has. When that is all done, I would suggest you play around a little with it to get a feel for the workflow regarding adding and removing blocks and pages, use different page types and move blocks around. Try the different standard blocks and take a look at the file manager and sitemap (in the dashboard) as well.

When you feel you know the basics, then I suggest you read about how to create your own template, that is your site layout. You can use your existing template as a starting point or find another one. Take a look at this how-to: http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/designers/making-a-t...

If you have worked some with html and css, then adding a few simple php tags (just copy from the how-to) won't be a problem.

As for the content of your page, you will have to do what Mnkras said - copy and paste. If you have tested the different blocks then that will not give you any problems as you will recognize what block to use to which content. And if there isn't a standard core block that can do it for you, then you can always check the marketplace for a block that might do it for you.

Good luck!
