Unable to load sitemap error(s)

Permalink 2 users found helpful
I've been searching the forums and not found anything quite like I have going…

I can get into the sitemap/full sitemap but when I click the "+" to go to a subpage, I get a "Internal Server Error".

I can go to Flat View and get to the subpage but when I go to the move/copy option, get a "unable to load sitemap data" window. When I click the close button on that window, I get the "Internal Server Error" again.

I think I have all permissions set properly but I'm somewhat a noob so may have overlooked something. Everything else is working perfectly.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I wanted to check again in case anyone has a suggestion:

I'm unable to use the full sitemap on the dashboard. Every time I select anything, I get a "Unable to load sitemap data" page not found window that won't allow me to close it.

I can't figure out what would be creating this problem. Any ideas?

Could be something in your /config/site.php. I got the "unable to load sitemap" error when I did not have my 'BASE_URL' set correctly (I was playing with https and forgot to change it back).

You could also have something corrupted in your /concrete core files. You could try reloading a fresh copy on top, that will not hurt anything (just make sure you are using the same Concrete5 version).

Also, check you Apache logs for error messages.

Thanks for your reply.

I re-checked the site.php file and it looks good.

I'm looking at my Raw Apache logs now sure how to read it:

This mean anything?

The window which pops up when I try to go to pages on the second level has a "Page Not Found. No page could be found at this address." message with the "Unable to load sitemap data" on the top bar of the window.

It's a PHP issue but I have no idea what to do. When installing C5, it said I had PHP configured properly.

Here's my PHP info:http://www.fuquadesign.com/phpinfo.php...

Aha! Found the answer.

https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/commit/2cf69ac90a8c8d1c7a451c...

Made this change to the file and all is good. I'd seen this last week but must have done something wrong because it didn't work before.

Jfuqua, thanks for posting that link. Updating those files has solved my "Unable to load sitemap" issue.

FWIW I also ran a repair on the PageSearchIndex table which seemed to help with a similar problem I had. Via this thread:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/installation/fatal-error-...

Are you sure this is the right link for the fix? It talks about fixing mail issues and not the sitemap issue. I have the same problem and the fix seems to be for a seperate issue.

That is the correct fix. Also, it's going to be included in the next version of c5, so there is no harm in it.

Specifically, it's the change of the item_list.php file which is towards the bottom.

I'm having a similar problem, but the fix presented above isn't working. I've posted the symptoms in Bug Tracker:

http://www.concrete5.org/developers/bugs/5-4-1-1/unable-to-load-sit...

What's odd is that some users are able to make pages and others get this problem. It all seems so random... Any ideas as to why it keeps acting up?

Thanks. That worked!
