URGENT: Page attribute not loading express items

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Since upgrading to 8.5.4 from 8.4.3 the Page attributes which are express-based are no longer listing anything at all despite all express items being there in the express view.

Further, creating a new page attribute from an express entity results in the same behaviour.

We're going to have to drop C5 for all but the simplest sites as this kind of stuff, especially express-related, consistently loses us time and money.

If anyone has a fix then please respond, this is a big site with >27k users.

After loading a properly working V8.3.2 site image and upgrading sequentially this broken behaviour is inntroduce when upgrading from V8.5.2 to V8.5.3

In 8.5.2 the Express page attributes can be added correctly and when clicked will display the list of express items. In V8.5.3 the attribute can be added but no list appears.

This is obviously an issue with the V8.5.3 release

Apparently this is due to the V8.5.3 upgrade package being faulty - some migrations IDs are incorrectly numbered meaning they don't get run.

I'm going to have to restore the site to it's backup and upgrade again to 8.5.2 which is a proper pain in the backside. At least I do have a backup though, not everyone will as the problems aren't obvious ones, your site might seem to behave OK.

No idea if people who've already upgraded to 8.5.3+ now have faulty databases or not or what's being done to address the issue.

I have the same issue...

Express Entity Page Attribute Doesn't Have Drop Down List to Choose From

Using a brand new install of v8.5.4
Created an Express data object with three attributes and added two entries.
Created two new page types and added the same Express Entity page attribute to each one.
When creating a new page from the new page type Composer shows NO drop down to pick a Data Object entry from the Data Object which has two entries.
