User registration

I have searched a great deal on how to enable user registration within concrete5 so not sure if I'm missing something...

I have gone to System Settings > Public Registration and turned ON, however, I cannot find any link or block to allow user registration.

I have also installed login block, but that only lets you log-in and does not disappear or change when you have logged in.

Is there something I'm not doing right?

Turning on Public Registration just lets people who get to /login Register for the site, it doesn't add any blocks or anything like that.

What you could do is add a block with a link to "Register For The Site" that goes to the Login page in the Sitemap, then set the permissions on that block to Disallow Registered Users so it only shows when you are not logged in.

Thank you for the response, although there is no register link on the login page at all. The only option is provides is forgotten password.

Is there any other options I need to enable to have the "register" link show?

What version of Concrete5 are you using? 5.6.x or 5.7?

Version 5.7.2

Unfortunately I don't know how/if this feature works in 5.7 yet. Perhaps making this as a 5.7 question will get the attention of another community member.

It looks like you could still follow my instructions but rather than linking to the /login page, you could link to the /register page.

This does not work. It simply reroutes to /login

Having the same issue.
My Public Registration settings page also looks different from what the docs show. I don't have an OpenID option -- but that's not a big deal.

I'm not seeing the Register button, only the Forgot password link.
Any progress on this?

All of the documentation you are looking at is for 5.6, there is no current documentation for 5.7.
