Admin Username / Email Login Problem Solved.

Right then everyone knows the default admin username is 'admin' and the password is 'admin'

However when enabling log in by email instead of username, people including me have locked themselves out and struggled to get back in. (I know how can we do this multiple times, dumb I know right)

anyway the answer you need good people is the default admin email address which is:

************* admin@concrete5.com *************

why this isn't easy to find is a mystery but know hopefully it will be!

Happy site building, oh and if anyone has an easy guide from upgrading the outdated QNAP version of concrete5 please let me know

Hello,

Just 2 comments that might be of use:
1- there is no default password. When installing C5 you are asked it provide a password so if it is admin...
2- admin@concrete5.com serves absolutely no purpose unless you own concrete5.com and can access that email.

Sorry perhaps I didn't make it clear as there is a very important point, especially if your forced to use an older version as I am.

If you don't set an email account to your admin account, and you change the login style to log in by email instead of user name you can find yourself unable to log in as the user name admin is no longer valid, many people have posted on here about this issue and many more have search for it, failed and ended up trying to crack the system or having to start from scratch.

But if they use the log in details:

ID: admin@concrete5.com
Password: admin (or whatever it's been changed to)

The will regain access to the dashboard.

oooohhh! I see. Excuse me a minute while I slap myself, I didn't get that at all.

I agree it is pretty important.

You should post this info in the tutorial section so it doesn't drown in the depth of this forum. That could be really useful to many.

The tutorial section is here:https://documentation.concrete5.org/tutorials...

Sorry again for misunderstanding.
