Arvixe hosting

I see that C5 website now lists Arvixe as a recommendation under hosting. Does anyone have any experience with them? I can't find anything about them in the forums. Their prices are a little cheaper. I have noticed that all then recommended shared hosting in these forums offer a promotional price, but as soon as you renew, you will pay the normal price. What annoys me about all these companies is they hide this information from you until you ask them. Arvixe has said that their renewal price is the same as price at signup.

Hello,

I see you had a few questions, so I went ahead and made an account here in hopes of answering your questions.

That is correct, the renew price you pay when you check out is the same price you'll pay for the life of the account.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks!

Well i am still recovering from my Arvixe trauma.
I just checked my site; i was slow even unpossible to visit. Login not at all.So i filled in a form, a ticket . The arvixe server had to be balanced etc for loading issues. Remarkable; we have to tell them. My site was almost down for days. Ok this issue was solved; Now loging as i always did. And add a block with img and connect an url to this img. Error message. I did not touch my admin before etc etc. So my C5 CMS was corrupt. Then the trauma starts. No replies, 20 different Arvixe employees involved. Final conclusion. They give no refund and they do not care. CMS is not their responsibility. Yeah even when the client did not tough it.

I have been having trouble all day with Arvixe, and not just today. There have been many speed discussions in these forums as related to the C5 CMS, but I am now having trouble determining where this (frequent) issue originates. I am in central mexico, and when every other site was snappy (including Concrete5.org) I was and still am having diffiuclty with my own Arvixe hosted sites hanging up for what seems like forever.
So, I don't know... I have C5.5.1 installed.

I had the same problem. I believe it is caused by the fact that when you go to your site, it automatically goes into edit mode, if you are logged in, and that takes a long time to load.

Hello C5 fans,

Well i am still recovering from my Arvixe trauma.
Was it so bad? yes it was.
What happened; I just opened an c5 account at Arvixe. All went well. Installation = ok, site speed and loading even faster than EU hosting.
BUT after 5 weeks; I just checked my site; i was slow even unpossible to visit. Login not at all.
So i filled in a form, a ticket . The arvixe server had to be balanced etc for loading issues. Remarkable; we have to tell them. My site was almost down for days. Hi Bankras,

I'm the current Arvixe Liason for the Concrete5 community. Would you be so kind as to PM me your ticket number for this issue and I'll follow up to the best of my ability to resolve this in your behalf.
