c5 failing to progress past the "Prefetching information" stage of installation

I've ensured all required folders, packages, files and config have 777 read, write, execute permission.

Everything works up until the "Prefetching information stage", at which point the install hangs.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

For me, with my setup I have these permissions:

public_html or top folders/directories are 711

Folders are 755

Files are 644

I did a fresh install today which failed, it has happened before, don't know why?

So I deleted database, cleared out the C5 folders and tried again with the same settings and all worked.

So I blame the fail on my hosting sever(shared).

Try again and see if it works.

I've tried with your permissions, and it fails to load the page.

Surely it should work with 777?

I've also replicated this on two other servers which I have direct access to, the same issue is present.

I must be missing something? :S
