c5 with e-commerce add on

Just started building a new site -http://www.chairtrader.co.uk with the e-commerce add on.

We're working on two PCs and the background is showing white as preferred in one PC and showing a grey grid on the other PC and also on an iPad. It also shows everything out of blocks rather than merged in.

It's using the Bootstrap 3.1.1 as the bootswatch colour scheme.

Does anybody have any idea what we've done wrong and point us in the right direction.

Many thanks,

David

You can use the print screen button and a paint/graphics app or use a screenshot app like thishttp://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html...

Really hard to say without seeing the code, but I guess the background colour on the body is being overridden in one browser and not the other.
You might be able to restore it using !important after the colour in the CSS:

body {background: #fff!important}

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your input but unfortunately I can't code which is really why I use c5 and bought the e-commerce package.

I've had a look round to see if I could input your suggestion but can't locate the code area.

I am going to have to think again if this is the way forward for me.

Thanks,

David

I could help if you have the budget to pay for extra help.
Unfortunately, bootstrap will also mess around with the core-C5 styling so at some point you will need to edit the css to deal with that too.

OK thanks, Let me think about that.

I'll come back to you.

Hi David

OK great. Things like that can usually be fixed quickly, so it may not cost you much for me to go through a list of things to tidy it up when you're ready. I'll leave it with you, please feel free to get in touch.

Thanks

Dave
