Call to a member function importThumbnail() on a non-object

Permalink
After correcting a number of install issues (usually directory permissions), the installation is almost complete. It appears to begin installing the included theme, and then I get the following error:

{"error":{"message":"Call to a member function importThumbnail() on a non-object"},"errors":["Call to a member function importThumbnail() on a non-object"]}]

Only option, as best I can tell, is to start over. Any help here?

Thanks!

I am having this problem as well with a fresh installation of concrete5.7.5.7.

I'm about to give up on COncrete5 (pity, looked amazingly) because of a very similar issue on version 8.2.3 when I get the error
Call to a member function importThumbnail() on integer
during the "importing files" installation step.

Not sure why you either of you are trying to install older versions of concrete5, but it sounds like a corrupted install.

Why not try the fresh 8.4.0 release and let us know what happens?

Sorry, my bad, it was 8.3.2, not 8.2.3, which was the latest available until a few days ago.

Anyway, I'll give a shot at version 8.4.0 as you suggest, but I have my doubts: I had to fiddle for a few hours to get the installation process complete without errors...

I'll let you know if the new version fixes my problems

Gotcha.

What things did you have to fiddle with to get 8.3.2 to install - might help narrow down the problem(s).
