I do not know where to start. My site lacks all types of call to actions and I hope I can use what is necessary to engage my visitors. Can you help me with that?

You can create a very simple CTA like so:
1. Put the page in edit mode, edit any Content block
2. Place an image there (such as a "Click Here!") that you upload w/the FileManager
3. Create a hyperlink to the page you want to send them to
4. Save the block and publish the page
