Can't install themes - and permissions are set to 777!!!

I've tried everything but I can't install a freaking theme!!! I'm about to work on a clients site using this, but I'm now having serious second thoughts because of this error.

Unable to copy directory theme_htmlfive_reset to /home/wwr/public_html/packages. Perhaps permissions are set incorrectly or the target directory does not exist.

HELP! And YES the permissions for the PACKAGES folder are set to 777.

HELP!

If all you're trying to do is copy a folder on to your server and the server is not letting you do the copy, then the problem is with your server and not Concrete5. I think if you contact your hosting company's tech support about this they'll be able to help you.

Good luck!

I have to agree, it's the web server. It would be interesting to find out how you got on though.

Do you have shell access to the server? (SSH)
This is the easiest way to confirm what the issue is.

If you need any help with this, drop me a PM and I'll take a look at the server settings for you...

Thanks for your guys help. I ended up erasing my server then installing Concrete5 using Simple Script and it worked!
Thanks again.
