Community ReConnect NOT working!!

I recently moved my latest project folder into public html. This effected two projects for me in the C5 Community. After reading other's same dilemma's, I released all of the licenses from each old (and newest) site and then deleted each Project- Then I went back to the website project that I wanted reconnected to the Community with the correct URL, and it does NOT accept my already active Community User log in, it wants me to start with a completely "new to community" account. Problem with that is then I will loose all of the purchases I already have. My current Community Account is still fine, I just can't connect any Project to it now! how do I resolve this issue??? I only want one of the 5 projects connected- didn't think it would be this hard. Appreciate any help.

What do you mean by:
> it does NOT accept my already active Community User log in

Do you get an error or something? Please provide specific details.

for instance, I needed to log in to my community account to answer this question. I type in the same user name and password I have always had and I am here. However, from the website when I click on "extend functionality" and get to the "you are not connected" link, I click on that and go to the "re-connect" button- I type in the same user name and password (since it asks if I already have a community account). But then I get error messages that my url is the wrong length, my user name in incorrect, my password is incorrect.. and a few other things.

Here is what I am seeing when I click on "No, the community is new to me " Register. There is no box to enter a site name that it is asking for. Nor is it on the "already have an account (which I do) option.
I am trying just start a new Account to see if that helps get me connected with this new site. None of my old sites projects that were previously connected are showing up in my account either since my tech support at our server removed all of them when I moved this new site into to main public folder/url.

URGENT NOW.... hello....I am just wondering if there is anyone with an "inside C5" way to fix this??? now I am responding to my own Discussion to see if there is any attention? The only solution that I could come up on my own at this point was to make an entirely fresh install of C5, have my server help me move it into the public html BEFORE I even tried re-connecting it to the Community... spent hours and hours recreating the website content (without all the add ons that I have no access to anymore anyway) hoping that would do it. IT DIDN'T!! If there is no one who can help me get reconnected to the community, I have no choice but to take the loss of years learning this system and all the purchases over the years and go with another software. it's extremely bad timing, but I don't know what else to do...I would like to stay at C5 but if no one is here that can help handle this crisis, I won't have any choice. If anyone is onboard here, please take a look at the attachments of the error messages being sent. They don't even make sense, asking for things that aren't even on the "lets reconnect" page and also not recognizing my already established C5 Community account.... the one I had to sign in to make this post. I'll give it a few more days, but sorry to leave if it there is no help available from the community or Concrete 5. If I missed something in the forums I would even appreciate a link to resolving this issue. thanks everyone.

"without all the add ons that I have no access to anymore anyway"?
To get your addons, login to concrete5.org, go to your profile > Transactions > Licenses and download all those that have been disconnected from a project.
Then you can manually install them into your site.

Thank you! That is a great idea!!! will give that a try tomorrow! I may have messed up by releasing all of them from the projects so I could license them to the one I was moving..will find out! I'll keep you posted about that...I sure hope that works!!!

thanks- I was able to download the archives. Now, this might be a silly question...but it's been a real long time since I had to upload manually- and I noticed that the folders that I downloaded did not automatically zip... and there are quite a few files in the folders- would you (or anyone) remind me what steps to take to zip the correct files in the folder (or the entire folder?) and which folder to upload them to and unzip? Thanks very much.

That is strange since whenever I download an addon archive it always downloads as a zipped file?
Nevertheless you should zip up the folder containing the addon files, upload that to the Packages folder and unzip it there.
Do this for each addon or theme that you download.

I guess I'm not positive what I'm looking at- I did upload the zip files to that path I posted (I don't see anything that says "packages" just "package", but I haven't unzipped anything until I'm sure it's in the right place.

Take a look at this attached screenshot... Do you not see the packages folder in your public_html folder?
If you do then put your zipped addons in there and unzip them.
Do Not put them into the concrete/elements/package folder!

Yes!! Thank you so much! I am glad I waited for your screenshot, because I had uploaded to the wrong folder! (but did not unzip luckily). I found the path you showed and all of the add ons are now working. I am a bit disappointed that I will have to continue using manual uploads now- since I am still not able to connect to the Community- but I do like the ease of C5 so I'm going to stay with it. again, big big thanks!
