converting basic php site to concrete5

i've got a non-CMS htmlp/php site. i've never done CMS. i'd like to convert it to concrete5 so other can easily edit the content. do i have to rebuild the site in concrete5 or can it magically "import" the site? thanks.

hi, you will need to convert the html/php site to concrete5 in order to use it's wonderful editing features.

I'm delving into this now, so I can speak from a little experience I think. So far I've successfully converted about 5 or 6 sites to the concrete5 platform from other CMS's I've used, and even from plain html static templates as well.

There's some code you would need to place here and there for the areas you want to be able to edit, but it's really simple once you get the hang of it.

Here's a tutorial I found very helpful when I began strolling down the concrete5 road.
