Copying an installation and connecting to a new project

We have something like a template concrete5 site that we duplicate to create new sites. We used the instructions (http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/installation/moving_a_site) to come up with the copying process, but I just noticed that each new site is collecting under the same project.

This is obviously a problem as far as licensing goes. So far we've only installed free addons, but this is going to change. How can we sever the relationship between a site and a project?

Hi starcart,

When I've cloned sites to create a new one, I've followed the following how-to so the database recognizes a new install for projects.

Hope this helps you out!

Thanks. This solves part of the problem, but now add-ons and themes are disassociated from the project. This means that add-on updates are no longer automatic until they all get associated with the new project.

Is there an automated way to add installed add-ons to the project?
