Core Team: Add-on doesn't appear in Add Functionality

hi there,
I purchased ProBlog, but it doesn't appear int he Add Functionality section of my site, and i get errors when i try to install in manually.
I contacted the author of the add-on, who suggested i contact the Core Team, as "package caching [is] at the core level".
ProEvents installs fine, as do other add-ons, it just seems to be ProBlog.
any ideas?

it might have to do with things mentioned in:

it says it downloaded and installed, but nothing happened. i'm using Fruitful 1.2 and ProEvents 2.3.1 and there are new versions for both that it says it updated but didn't.
