Dashboard buttons screwy on Libarary PC

Viewing my test/demo website at the local library works great.

Trying to make changes is another story...
When I get into Dashboard mode the buttons at the top get messed up.

I suspect their system filtering strips some java code from pages

See attached screen print --
Where did Edit/Addpage go?

Are you using IE 6 in that screenshot? If so, that may be the culprit. Check out this post for a bit more info:http://www.concrete5.org/index.php?cID=6520

IE isn't really supported for Dashboard/Editing as far as I can see. This doesn't mean your site won't work in IE, just can't edit it.

Just to be clear, while c5's admin/cms edit-mode features aren't supported ie6, it is fully functional in IE7 & 8.

Sorry I meant to say IE 6 in my reply for the editing thing... Not IE in general.

Thanks for the clarification though.

Your right, I revisited the library and see it is IE 6.0.

On the same problematic screen you see in that attachment I did a:

Page, Save-as,'Web Archive, single file (*.mht)'

Took that file home and viewed it on an IE 7.0.x machine.

It views a-ok there.

So it appears to be a page display issue with IE6 even though all the code is correct. (it is NOT an issue with Library filtering content.)

that's nice to hear Paul.. ie6 is a very old browser at this point, and while i understand any number of IT departments may be stuck with it - we're not.

You can certainly build a site where the view mode works in fine ie6 - but it just takes too much time and effort from us to make ie6 work in edit mode.
