Duplicated Website, but instead of being it's own project it is found as a Found Location under the original site

I have a Website that a client wanted that is almost exactly like a previous site I created. I copied all of the files from the previous site, copied the database to a new one, configured the new database in site.php, modified the Site Name then went about adding original content. When I connected to the Concrete5 Community so that I could add a couple new add-ons and assign licenses for the ones that I copied from the other site, the new site doesn't show up as a unique project. Instead, it shows up as a found location of the original project (the one that I copied the files from).

I want to assign unique licenses to this project, so it needs to stand on it's own. Does anyone know what I did wrong and how I can correct it so that it is it's own project?

Hi

I have done something similar to yourself, so hope this helps:

When Logged in go to My Account at the top right of page, then click on the menu items on the right side of the page click on Transactions and then click on Licences, here you can download the appropriate licence into the appropriate area or website.

I control our servers here and so the licences I wanted moved were already server side, if you have downloaded your Licences client side you will have to upload them onto your server.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Steve. I can see how that would work to get new add-ons to this new project, but what I really want is for this project to stand by itself, rather than being a found location of another project. I own the theme, but need to apply purchased licenses for a few add-ons and can't do that when they are already listed under the original project.

When you copied the original site as a starting point, the marketplace token that tells the community what site goes with what project was copied over as well. So the community sees them as the same site since they have the same token. You can delete the token from the database of the new site and the connect to the community again to get a new project page created.

Here's a guide to lead you through the process of deleting that token:

Thanks Julia - That did the trick.
