Gain ownership of site for concrete5 community

Permalink 1 user found helpful
We have recently taken over ownership of a site on behalf of a client. We have set the site up on our server and we have admin users as well as access through ftp/sql to do whatever we want with the site. The site url however has stayed the same as the client owns the domain and we just pointed it to our new hosting.

The problem comes when we try to connect to the concrete 5 community. We created our own c5 account to run this site long after site was developed and handed to us. We aren't the original creator of the site and we get the following error when trying to connect.

"You must login with a username that is an owner or editor of this project."

I cannot find any way for us to effectively gain ownership from the original owner without him transferring ownership to us. Unfortunately we can't really get access to him and I can't find any automated way to gain ownership of a site.

Are you the super admin? You can tell if your account cannot be deleted.

The issue arises that if licences have been assigned to your site then you will uncouple those, making updates impossible. I researched modifying the db but to no avail. PM me if you want me to have a look. My curiosity is piqued.

I've looked through and found what I'd assume is the super admin in the database.I gained access to their account by changing their password in the database and logging in as them.

Their doesn't seem to be any difference in concrete 5 backend between them and the other admin accounts I have been using. I still have to enter concrete5 log in details to connect to the community and my details aren't the owner according to concrete 5.

You can check you have the right login on your site because the super user always has id 1.

With the actual Concrete5 login, you will need to ask Julia for help.

It is the user with id of 1 that I used to test.

It is also the concrete 5 login that I need help with who is this Julia I need to talk to and what would be the best way to get in contact with them?
